Monroe directed the film which was released on the 8th of October, 2010. In November 2011, Butler along with Estella Warren started filming the thriller based on psychological research The Stranger Within in Mallorca, Spain. The film was also scheduled to film at Copenhagen Denmark and New York City.She joined the cast of the film, an independent one Treachery with Michael Biehn which began filming in Los Angeles in June 2012. Butler was in The Demented 2013, a horror film with Michael Welch and KaylaEwell.
